2006 Eastern Greene Pony Baseball Special Rules

Eastern Greene Pony / Colt Rules

Rules are in addition to or over ride rules in
Official Pony Rule Book.

* There is NO rule against head first sliding.

* There is NO rule that says a player must slide
if there is a play made on him at any base.

* There is NO courtesy runner allowed.

* Roster size can be 18 players of eligible age.
There must be 12 players of eligible age on a roster
for a team to be entered in league.

* An Extra Hitter ( EH ) is allowed. This is up to
the each individual manager whether they decide to
play with an EH or not. In the same game, one team may
have an EH and the other team may elect not to.

A team may have an EH in one game, but not in the next.
For instance: just because a team plays an EH in one
game, that does not mean they are obligated to play
in other scheduled games.

If an EH is in the lineup, the EH is considered as
a Starting Position. An EH may then be taken out of
the game and is allowed to be re-entered one time,
either as an EH or in a different position.

* There is no rule against playing Sunday ball

* Manager of the first place team is given first choice
if they would like to manage an all star team. Second
place manger is given the next choice, third place
manager is give the next choice, etc.

If there have not been enough managers selected to fill
all coaching positions on an all star team, then the
selection process goes next to the head coach of each
team starting with the first place team's coach, next
is the second place team's coach, etc.

Managers or coaches may elect to choose either 13 or
14 year old teams.

* Re-scheduling rain outs is the sole responsibility
of each individual manager or team involved. If 3
attempts are made by a manager to re-schedule and the
other team is not responding then the game will be
re-scheduled by the league president, or league officer.

If either team does not show for that game, that is
an automatic forfeit, the win given to the team that
shows up, recorded as a 1 - 0 win.

* Team rosters must have 12 players of eligible age.
9 players of eligible age are required to start a game.
(PONY ONLY)

If 9 players of eligible age are not present to start
the game, the game is forfeited.

The game may be played with under age players if both
managers agree, however it will count as an automatic
win in the league standings for the team with 9 players
and a loss for the team with under 9 players. Win to
be recorded as 1 - 0.

Colt teams are allowed to play with Pony age players
with no penalty or forfeiture of game.

* Eastern Greene Pony League will pay a maximum of $600
per all star team.
